Cass - From Wikipedia -

"Journalism is the investigation and reporting of events, issues, and trends to a broad audience. Although there is much variation within journalism, the ideal is to inform the citizenry. Besides covering organizations and institutions such as government and business, journalism also covers cultural aspects of society such as arts and entertainment." That means the role of journalism is not to slant the news toward any political view - that is called "editorialism" so people know it is opinion. Your comment "to me that says the people "in the know", really are people in know." in response to my citing that the preponderance of journalists contribute to the democrats indicates your preference for propaganda that suits your beliefs rather than reporting of news as it took place. Indicates either a laziness of thought or a desire to control thought of others.

Your comment "that I think if you look, college professors are overwhelmingly Democratic as well." indicates your approval and that you would rather that colleges "brainwash" rather than teaching critical thinking so a person has the ability and skills to reach their own conclusions.

Your comment "People with the resources to travel and get to know other cultures are more liberal in their thinking. I saw on the Early Show yesterday, some old man with no teeth saying he will do whatever Glenn Beck tells him to do." shows your bias and prejudice along with the bias and prejudice of the reporter/news media that put that out. Along with your elitist attitude - designed to belittle and denigrate any who dare oppose your point-of-view.

Your statement "Emphasizing my point. People who always question authority and always want to learn will do research, not blindingly follow some big mouth on TV" is not in agreement with the rest of your comments.
