LOL. A FOX news watcher looking in Wikipedia to find out what journalism means. Maybe you should send your description to them because they don't have a clue. As you stated before most of their "reports" are editorial and are not news at all.
Professors try to invoke discussion - of all sorts. I've not heard of a student getting a lower grade because their opinion doesn't agree with their professor. They don't "brainwash", they discuss. It is interesting, though, that the most learned professors are Democratic. Don't you agree?
I will rephrase this. People who always question authority and want to learn will do research, find the answers out for themselves and make their own decisions. People who are too stupid or lazy to do research will believe what some big mouth tells them and do what they are told- without question- not bothering to make their own decisions. I question anyone's intelligence who states that they will do whatever someone else tells them to do. I don't think that makes me an elitist.
