LOS ANGELES — A family who suffered serious injuries in a fatal traffic collision involving Caitlyn Jenner earlier this year sued the Olympic gold medalist on Friday.

The Wolf-Milesi family of Malibu sued Jenner in Los Angeles Superior Court for negligence in the February crash, which killed one woman after Jenner rear-ended her car and pushed it into oncoming traffic on the Pacific Coast Highway.

A sport utility vehicle driven by Peter Wolf-Milesi family struck a car driven by Kim Howe, killing her. The lawsuit states the four members of the Wolf-Milesi family and another occupant of their vehicle sustained serious injuries in the crash.

Peter Wolf-Milesi suffered serious wrist injuries and his one-month old son was unresponsive after the accident, according to the lawsuit. Wolf-Milesi’s wife also sustained blunt-force injuries and requires ongoing treatment, the suit states.

[naviga:h3]Chipotle sales slide after E. coli outbreak[/naviga:h3]

NEW YORK — Chipotle said Friday that an outbreak of E. coli linked to its restaurants sent sales plummeting by as much as 22 percent in recent weeks and that it could no longer reasonably estimate sales for next year.

The Denver-based chain said in a regulatory filing that sales trends have been “extremely volatile” since it closed restaurants in Oregon and Washington in early November as a result of the outbreak.

For the final three months of the year, it said it expects sales to be down between 8 to 11 percent at established locations if trends continue. Earnings are also expected to fall to between $2.45 and $2.85 per share for the quarter. That’s down from last year’s $3.84 per share.

Chipotle’s stock slid more than 7 percent in after-market trading. Its shares have dropped 25 percent since mid-October.

[naviga:h3]Obama signs 5-year infrastructure bill[/naviga:h3]

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama has signed into law a $305 billion bill that provides a modest increase in spending over the next five years to maintain and upgrade the nation’s aging transportation network.

Obama signed the measure into law at the White House on Friday, a day after Congress overwhelmingly approved it.

In a written statement, Obama said the bill isn’t perfect, but called it a commonsense compromise and an important first step in the right direction.

He says he’ll continue to push for greater transportation spending to meet the nation’s infrastructure needs and create jobs.
