Apartment fire chases 2 dozen people
EPHRATA — Two-dozen people have been displaced this morning by a fire at a newly built apartment building in central Pennsylvania.
Fire officials say the 12-unit building at Willow Creek Apartments sustained water and smoke damage in the fire early this morning in Ephrata, about 40 miles east of Harrisburg.
Authorities are still trying to determine the cause of the blaze, which appears to have started in the rear of the building, possibly on a porch.
All the building's residents escaped safely, but three firefighters suffered minor injuries.
