Two longtime traditions will return to the Zelienople Community Park Monday, Sept. 7. An end-of-summer party is scheduled at the park from 1 to 6 p.m., while the annual ox roast, hosted by Harmony Lodge 429 Masons, will also take place, starting at noon.

The traditional meal, prepared on-site, can be purchased for $20. The meal includes roast beef, corn on the cob, a baked potato, baked beans and coleslaw, along with dessert and a drink.

Live music will be performed by Eugene and The Nightcrawlers from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and by Common Ground from 4 p.m. until the end of the event.

People interested in attending can preorder the meal at the organization’s website. Individuals with time conflicts on Saturday have the option to drop by the park and pick up the food to-go.
