Sandra ‘Sandy’ Kradel
Sandra L. “Sandy” (Wise) Kradel, 79, of Chicora, went to be with the Lord Monday afternoon, Aug. 31, 2026, while in the company of her family, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Sandra was born at home in Chicora on March 6, 1947. She was the daughter of the late John and Ethel Blystone Wise.
She was a 1965 graduate of Fairview Township-Karns City High School and was a member of Chicora Alliance Church. She and her husband enjoyed riding their Harley, riding thousands of miles over more than 60 years. She enjoyed singing karaoke, traveling the world with her husband and, most especially, looked forward to the company of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sandy retired from Penreco in Karns City as a quality control manager.
Sandy is survived by her husband Ronald L. “Ron” Kradel, whom she married in Butler on June 5, 1969. The couple recently celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary.
Also surviving are four daughters, Ronda L. Vensel and her husband, Jim, Dodi L. Parker and her husband, Charlie, and Michele L. Kradel, all of Chicora, and Crissy L. Emrick and her husband, Jim, of Butler.
She was affectionately “Mimi” to her grandchildren and their spouses, Tisa and Seth Campbell, Shane Vensel, Greg Parker, Megan and Jimmy Werkmeister, Kylie and Wesley Ramirez, Madison Ekas, Jimmy and Taylor Emrick, Justin and Hana Emrick, and Jesse and Brandy Emrick; and her great-grandchildren, Rylee, Penelope, Logan, Dylan Mae, Hendrix, Shelby, Myra, Kenlee, Lakelyn, Jimmy, Ellie, Hector and Liam. She is additionally survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and a great-granddaughter, Finley Jean.
KRADEL — Private funeral arrangements for Sandra L. “Sandy” (Wise) Kradel, who died Monday Aug. 31, 2026, are under the direction of HILE FUNERAL HOME OF CHICORA.
Interment will be in Hemphill Cemetery in Chicora.
