Butler Little Theatre’s summer youth production of “Jungalbook,” adapted by Edward Mast from the stories of Rudyard Kipling, opens at 7:30 p.m. today and runs at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

Reserved seat tickets for the theater at One Howard St. are $12. Remaining seats will be available starting 45 minutes before each show.

The Butler Art Center is offering a variety of art classes, workshops, and parties for adults and children through July.

The Art Center will be closed for August except for art classes and summer camp. A few openings remain for the camp in the first two weeks of August.

[naviga:h3]Harmony has concerts[/naviga:h3]

The concerts organized by the Harmony Borough Parks Board start at 7 p.m. July 30 and Aug. 13.

The Harmony 2015 Summer Concert Series will feature Kardaz on July 30 and the John Burgh Band on Aug. 13 in the town square. Admission is free. Take seating.

[naviga:h3]Farm show week slated[/naviga:h3]

CONNOQUENESSING TWP — The 67th annual Butler Farm Show will run Aug. 10 to 15 at the farm show grounds, Route 68.

Gates will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.

General admission for those age 3 and older will be $7 on Aug. 10. The rate will be $8 from Aug. 11 to 15.

Admission includes parking, unlimited midway rides except boat rides, all exhibits and entertainment. Grandstand admission is an additional fee for special events.

Activities include truck and tractor pulls, a beekeeping demonstration, cheese auction, horse showmanship, animal shows, 4-H livestock sale, log pulling contest, music and food.

The poultry show has been canceled by order of the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.

CRANBERRY TWP — Keystone State Music Theater will present “Seussical Jr.” through Saturday in the Rotary Amphitheater at Cranberry Community Park, 111 Ernie Mashuda Drive.

Free admission will be available for the 8 p.m. show today.

MUDDY CREEK TWP — The Regatta at Lake Arthur will feature boating and other water activities, music and fireworks over the course of the 17th annual event Aug. 1 and 2. Admission is free.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 1 and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 2 on the South Shore off Pleasant Valley Road.

JEFFERSON TWP — Concordia Lutheran Ministries will host its 134th annual Summer Festival from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday in the Lund Care Center backyard on the Cabot campus.

Entertainment based on a “Goin’ Country” theme will include the Black Horse Band from 1 to 2:30 p.m. as well as Concordia’s House Band at 4:30 p.m. Children’s activities and food are planned.

Sing Hosanna! will present its Christmas in August dinner comedy theater show “Misdeeds at Mistletoe Mine or The Sanity Clause” at noon and 6 p.m. Aug. 15 at St. Peter’s Parish hall, 127 Franklin St.

The menu will include tossed salad, lasagna with meatballs, green beans, and holiday cookies.

The show will feature Nicole Ambrose, Jason Reppart, Max McAuley, Alisha Stephenson, Dale Riemer, Amelya Lyon, Corbin McCollough and Malachi Stephenson.

HARMONY — Some three dozen specialists will present antique guns, accouterments, swords and related items with a Western Pennsylvania-eastern Ohio focus Aug. 8 at the Harmony Museum’s 11th annual Antique Gun Show.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Stewart Hall, 218 Mercer St. Admission is $5 with proceeds benefiting museum operations. A light lunch will be available. Attendees can bring along items for show experts to examine and appraise.

[naviga:h3]Show benefits symphony[/naviga:h3]

A concert Sept. 26 featuring area artists who have become nationally and internationally known will benefit the Butler County Symphony Orchestra.

Butler County natives Jim Pugh, who plays trombone, William Purvis, who plays french horn, and composer/conductor Stephen Heyde will join BCSO musicians for the fundraiser.

The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Community Alliance Church on Mercer Road. The evening will feature selections that highlight the talents of these three individuals.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students and are available from any symphony board member, at the symphony office at 259 S. Main St., Fudoli Music & Repair Center, May’s Music Shoppe and Meridian Station, or at ShowClix.com.
