Teachers and Schools

You people back in Butler do not realize how GOOD you have it. I live in northeastern ct and the schools here are HORRIBLE. I shudder to think about my 2 year old daughter starting school here and I wish SO MUCH that I could bring her back and put her in school there. You have the gall to criticize teachers? Do you know how HARD they work? It's not just a job, it's a calling to have the patience and empathy that teachers have. Not to mention how well funded the school district is. Over here, there is 30 math books per grade, so they don't go home. Field trips are non existant and merely graduating high school is a big deal. In Butler, the variety of classes that are offered, not to mention extra curriculars so that students can excel both in and out of the classroom would be a dream come true here. It must be true that only the spoiled whine and complain about how bad they have it, but don't take into consideration the enormous quality that is there. Teachers have to stay on top of thier craft, they're constantly going back to school and learning. Not to mention the school loans to go to school need to be paid back. Check how many teachers have more than just thier bachelors, you'd be VERY surprised.
