You're totally missing the point. I'm not talking about irresponsible kids, I'm talking about irresponsible parents. What I saw today even irritated me more. We were out enjoying the day at the festival in Butler when we decided to take the kids for a bite to eat. My niece and I

had 5 kids total with us, her 2 daughters, my 2 sons and my foster daughter. There were 2 couples there (both very young) who had said total 8 kids. As I was walking to our table the (I'm assuming father) slammed his fist down on the table because the kids were screaming and crying and he couldn't handle their behavior. The mother had to calm him down, quite literally. His behavior infuriated me because I

had my 2 very young children and nieces with me who witnessed his outburst. They looked at me shockingly, almost in tears because he frightened them so. I almost said something to the gentleman but I'm sure the look I gave him and the others spoke volumes. Those poor kids were absolutely out of control. Hmmm, I wonder why they were so crazy behaved. I'm not saying my kids are angels. I am not saying they won't witness terrible things in life or that I will be able to shelter and protect them from all of it. I just want people to respect that others don't live like that. It's not about suing someone over something stupid, it's about acting stupid. If you support that behavior, support it in private where it belongs and don't air it out in public for all the world to see. At some point the kids will act out, maybe mine will too but they will not learn that in my home.
