Karen Campbell
Karen (Young) Campbell, also lovingly known as “Key,” “Queeny,” “Suze,” “Mum” and “Gramma,” has passed away.
Karen’s time with us came to a close on Sunday, April 5, 2026. Her life continues in the memories, stories and laughs shared across her years. Her love and care for her family, friends and all children were at the center of every day.
The early years on the farm shaped her view. Her kindness and compassion for animals, welcoming of neighbors and belief in hard work all began in the barn, fields and house of her childhood.
An excellent cook and baker, Karen’s work in the kitchen was enjoyed by all who sat at her table. She continued the tradition of homemade noodles to the delight of her family. Her recipes and methods are carried on in the lives of loved ones.
She cherished her friends from the North Butler Presbyterian Church community. The fellowship in attending services and cooking for dinners alongside friends from the neighborhood brought her joy.
Karen’s green thumb showed in the many flowers and plants that decorated her world, where a single rose in bloom made everything a little bit better.
Karen will be deeply missed by all who were in her life. She left the house clean and the laundry folded, which would have pleased her very much.
