The Speaker of the House has the power to speed up and address the ethics investigations of Representative Charlie Rangel and Maxine Waters. This is a local issue because our representatives need to be our voice on the subject and they need to know we are watching.

The charges against them should be cleared one way or the other before Election Day. Since the two charged are both Democrats, Speaker Nancy Pelosi should absolutely have their matters handled before Election Day to avoid the appearance of impropriety since she is also a Democrat. In fairness to the candidates, if they are innocent, they deserve that clearing as well.

All local Congressional candidates should be pressuring Pelosi to make it happen. The public is sick of corruption and powerful officials that remain quiet about the actions of their colleagues. Ask your Congressional candidates if they are putting pressure on Speaker Pelosi to resolve these serious charges.
