Grove City 63, Bethany (W.Va.) 6

The Wolverines piled up 499 yards and forced six turnovers in cruising to victory at Rine Field.

It was Grove City's biggest margin of victory since a 62-0 triumph over Carnegie Tech in 1962 and its biggest win ever in 21 years of competition in the Presidents' Athletic Conference.

The Wolverines blew the game open by scoring four touchdowns in a five-minute span early in the third quarter, turning a 21-6 halftime lead into a 49-6 advantage.

Ross Trimmer and Gene Iannuzzi returned interceptions for touchdowns during the outburst. Trimmer's return covered 100 yards to set a school record.

Grove City (3-2, 1-0) rushed for 416 yards. Senior inside linebacker and Seneca Valley graduate Mike Prioletti led the team with 10 tackles and a quarterback sack.
