W&J hammers Grove City, 56-14
WASHINGTON - Chris Edwards threw a career-high five touchdown passes, including four to Aaron Krepps, as Washington & Jefferson beat Grove City 56-14 on Saturday.
Washington & Jefferson (7-0, 3-0 Presidents' Athletic Conference) entered the game ranked No. 11 in NCAA Division III poll. The Presidents gained 484 yards in total offense and held Grove City (3-4, 1-2) to 154 yards.
Edwards completed 21 of 28 yards for 277 yards and connected with Krepps on touchdown passes of 37, 20, 32, and 22 yards. He also threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Jacob Shields. Krepps caught nine passes for 144 yards and set a career high with his four touchdown receptions.
Ryan Mendel added touchdown runs of 20 and 1 yards for the Presidents.
Grove City scored on a 27-yard pass from Bradford Clark to Dave DiDonato and a 93-yard kickoff return by Ross Trimmer.
