Pirates, Resop agree on contract
PITTSBURGH — Relief pitcher Chris Resop and the Pirates agreed on Friday to a one-year contract, worth $850,000.
Resop made $431,500 last year, in going 5-4 with a 4.39 ERA. He also had 79 strikeouts, 30 walks and a 1.48 WHIP as the Pirates finished 72-90.
