The City of Butler’s redesigned website has launched as of Thursday, Aug. 27.

It features new sections and menus, including entire “for residents” and “for businesses” tabs for easy navigation. It also features a new search function and better support for mobile devices.

City officials previously said the website also will feature online payment options, livestream support for council meetings, Americans with Disabilities Act compliance and multilingual support — but not all of those features had been implemented as of Thursday.

The website also features a landlord portal which gives landlords the opportunity to submit their annual occupancy reports and will automatically compile those into the city’s database.

Work on the website began last year after the city voted to hire Neumeric and Weblinx to build it at an original estimated cost of $59,500.
