Butler County Opioid Overdose Coalition will host the 5th Butler County Remembers ceremony on International Overdose Awareness Day Monday, Aug. 31.

Family and friends are invited to attend, bring pictures of their loved ones and speak about them during the 7 p.m. service at Grace Community Wellness Center, 123 W. Diamond St. in Butler.

The event will serve to remember those who have died, acknowledge the grief of the family and friends left behind, and raise awareness of overdose without stigma.

The service will conclude with a candlelit awareness walk on Main Street for those who are able.
