The Butler County Coroner’s office is responding to a crash along Eau Claire Road in Venango Township Thursday evening, Aug. 27.

According to Butler County Emergency Services dispatch reports, two vehicles and two female occupants are involved in the crash. Initially, one of the individuals was described as “unresponsive” and the other as sustaining a leg injury.

Dispatch reports indicate emergency crews shut down a section of Eau Claire Road around the McJunkin Road intersection.

Coroner Korynne Young told the Butler Eagle her office was called to the scene around 5:45 p.m.

According to state police, the scene was “still very active” as of 5:20 p.m. and no further information was available beyond officers were “investigating a two vehicle crash at that location with injuries.”
