This fall, the Slippery Rock area offers plenty for locals and visitors to do.

The Band Jam Grass Roots Music Festival invites people from all walks of life to attend a wide variety of concerts. The event will also host vendors including merchandise, food and information.

Location: Cooper’s Lake Campground, 205 Currie Road, Slippery Rock

Hours: Thursday, Aug. 20 — 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Friday, Aug. 21 — 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 22 — 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Admission: Thursday’s event is free, with single-day general admission tickets being available for $21.40 and general admission weekend passes being $31.60. Children 17 and under attend free.

Tune in to Rock Station 97.7 for a chance to win free tickets.

Camping is not included in the ticket price and must be purchased separately through Cooper’s Lake Campground.

Celebrate 250 years of American history with a guided hiking tour of the Old Stone House and the Foltz School House.

Location: The Old Stone House, 2865 William Flynn Hwy, Slippery Rock

Slippery Rock’s Heritage Association will be hosting its 22nd annual cruise starting in downtown Slippery Rock.

Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Enjoy the start of autumn with Slippery Rock’s annual VillageFest. Vendors of all kinds alongside local businesses will set up shop on Main, selling a variety of food and wares.

Location: South Main Street, Slippery Rock

Hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
