SLIPPERY ROCK — The final disputed borough council seat here was decided by one vote.

Itzi Meztli, who ran as both a Democrat and a Republican, defeated incumbent Republican Blase Tucci, getting 168 votes compared to Tucci’s 167.

Unofficial election results Tuesday evening indicated that Meztli and Tucci were tied with 160 votes each.

But the final tally came in Wednesday afternoon after the Butler County Bureau of Elections counted absentee ballots.
