High school sports teams had a winning night Friday as four of the five regional teams won playoff games.

The Mars girls soccer team captured the state Class AA title by beating Villa Joseph Marie, 1-0.

The Knoch football team won its semifinal AAA WPIAL game over Franklin Regional, 9-7. Knoch will now head to the WPIAL championship contest at Heinz Field.

The Moniteau football team won its first AA District 9 title by beating Karns City 26-12.

The Grove City team won its District 10 Class AAA semifinal game against East, 49-0.
