taxes
I don't know how much I pay in taxes but I think I pay more than I should. A couple years ago the price of gasoline and diesel fuel was well over four dollars a gallon. Prices went up on everything and the justification was that transportation costs had to be passed on to the consumer. Now gas has been under three dolars a gallon for some time but I don't prices have come down.
(I'll pass along some facts on that in my next post. Anyway I purchased a can of spray paint at Dollar General today. That spray paint is subject to sales tax. Seems it wasn't so long ago that that same can of paint was around a dollar and a quarter. I'm now paying over twice the sales tax I did before, am I not?
