Glenn (Glenny) Oesterling
BIRTHDAY TRIBUTE Glenn (Glenny) Oesterling, Born August 15, 1957 Went to Heaven January 16, 2005
Dearest Glenny,
If you were here with us today we would be celebrating your 50th birthday.
We would be having the biggest party you ever had. I know you and your dad and all our families, relatives, and friends are happy you are having your birthday in heaven with your Jesus and them.
You were born on a Holy Day. The Assumption of your Blessed Mother. I'm sure many will be praying for you at Mass.
Almost every day someone says what a great loving person you are.
Glenny, you are not gone, you are only away. We have such wonderful memories of you and we have tapes.
No you couldn't do a lot of things people take for granted but what you could do you enjoyed thoroughly.
Dad and I were so lucky to have an earth angel. You brought so many blessings to so many. I read your cards often and so many people say how you touched them. They said you always had that beautiful smile and handshake. You were such a wonderful patient.
You were very patient if you had to wait for some reason. You were wonderful to me when your Dad passed away. I loved the talks we had especially when I was taking care of you. Nothing I ever had to do for you was a burden. See God gave me special graces to care for you.
Remember how we would laugh if I got your T shirt on backward, or try to put your tennis shoes on the wrong foot. The first few times I used the new lift, you'd hold your breath until you were down on the bed. I never dropped you but you enjoyed a little swing.
I miss you very much and love you more every day. I always treated you like my little guy but you were so grown up if you had to make a decision.
This winter would have been painful on your back and legs, this summer was very hot and the humidity is high. I know you are without pain and you are with your dad all the time.
Please remember us down here pray for us. I know you are in God's heaven because you were an angel on earth.
Remember I love you more every day and you are with me in spirit.
So, Happy 50th Birthday to my First son. I have a good memory and I'll think about your birth and how I cuddled you close. You were such a soft cuddly and loving baby.
You are very much missed and loved more every day.
