I noticed recently that there hasn't been as many activities going on this year for Halloween. I'm glad that people are starting to realize the insanity in teaching our children not to talk to or take candy from strangers only to promote going out once a year and doing both at the same time. I encourage those of you who aren't involved in a church of your own to look into some in the area's. A lot of churches celebrate Harvest and have many wonderful activities for the kids. There are also places like the Zoo, Pumpkin Farms and local Amusement Parks that offer events at reasonable cost that are fun for the entire family! Paint or carve a pumpkin w/your children, take them to the Apple Festival, let them bob for apples, etc. I think there are so many wonderful alternatives, many parents are taking advantage of them more and more each year!
