As a percentage of income a sales tax will affect the middle class and the poor much more than it affects the "wealthy". As usual any idea postulated by progressives has the opposite effect as was intended.

Net Neutrality will be the beginning of the end of the free flow of information in the U.S. Once the government controls the spread of information they also will control the information itself. You will only be permitted to access the information and web sites the government permits you to access. Of course, most progressives will like that idea. No more dissent.
