No, this is the first time you have written anything except reduce spending.
Do you even know what the so called Death Panels are? Do you think there are really a group of people sitting around deciding who should live and who should die? Since that is what FOX says, you probably believe it, and since you brought it up..
Section 1233 of HealthcareReform 3200, is titled “Advance Care Planning Consultation.” Which would require Medicare to pay for some end-of-life PLANNING COUNSELING SESSIONS with a health care practitioner. Meaning that if you have a terminal disease, you will be able to speak to a counselor about how much treatment you want to receive. Say, if you are dying of lung cancer, get pneumonia and are in a coma, do you want the hospital to put you on a respirator for the last 3 days of your life, or do you want to die. Nobody will make that decision for you. If you tell the counselor that YES, you want put on a respirator, they will do it, but you have the option to speak with someone about it. THERE IS NO DEATH PANEL WHO WILL MAKE THAT DECISION FOR YOU!!! The healthcare bill is only paying for you to SEE A COUNSELOR to discuss scenarios that you may face as your disease progresses and lets you decide how you want treated.
If there are unconstitutional parts of the bill, the legal system will decide that.
So, I'm still waiting to hear how you will reduce the deficit through reduced spending.
Specifically, what spending did the Republicans propose to reduce?
Maybe you mean House Majority Leader, Eric Cantor, who has raised his office staff's salary by 81% since 2001, while pledging to cut the budget! He says he will reduce his office expenses by 5% - like that will reduce the deficit! Why not 75% of his increase?? That would bring his staff in line with the raises that the private sector received.
Did FOX report that little diddy? Since they didn't, did you even hear that report?
