You're right. Apparently nobody cares that the US ranks behind countries like Turkey, Mexico, Portugal and the Czech Republic. It's sad, really. Instead of teachers trying to think of some way to get our children more prepared for their lives, all they worry about is how needed changes will affect their paychecks. Don't question the 4-6 hour learning day, because then you are either deemed jealous or uncaring about education. These same people constantly complain that the government just throws money at problems, yet when someone questions all the money thrown at their failed program, they get all fired up. Did you even consider that if the US topped the list in education, this conversation wouldn't happen.
