HARMONY — The Harmony Women of the Moose will host a Breakfast with Santa from 8 a.m. to noon Dec. 17 at the Harmony Moose Lodge, Mercer Street.
Cost is $5 for adults and free for children age 12 and younger. Breakfast will include bacon, sausage, eggs and pancakes.
No reservations are required.
CHERRY TWP — The bands of the Moniteau School District will present their holiday band concert at 7 p.m. Thursday in the high school auditorium, 1810 West Sunbury Road.The concert will include performances by the Jazz Band, Elementary Advanced Band, Junior High Band and the High School Band.Admission is free.
EVANS CITY — The Evans City Volunteer Fire Department will host a dance for students in grades four to six from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Friday at the fire hall, 124 N. Jackson St.Admission is $5.

A Gift of Better Hearing program will be held through Dec. 15 at Avada Hearing Care Centers in Butler County.Area residents can submit essays describing friends or loved ones who would benefit from better hearing. The subject of the winning essay will be eligible to receive a free hearing aid, hearing screening and follow-up care.Essays can be submitted to the Avada Hearing Care Centers at 1022 N. Main St. in Butler and 111 S. High St. in Zelienople. Deadline for entries is Thursday.Notices, in writing, of festivals, fundraising events, newly elected officers and other news from clubs and non-profit groups should be sent to the Focus department one week in advance of the event.
