Clarence W. Fay
Clarence W. Fay, 87, of Butler passed away Monday morning at his home.
Born March 12, 1921, in Butler, he was the son of the late Phillip and Lillian Hilliard Fay.
He retired in 1983 from the Butler Armco Transportation Department.
A World War II veteran, he was a life member of both VFW Post 249 and American Legion Post 778.
He was a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Grace I. Cockroft Fay, to whom he was married for 63 years; one son, William J. Fay Sr. and his wife, Patricia, of Butler; four grandchildren, William J. Fay Jr. of Houston, Texas, Robert Fay of Hartford, Conn., Brian Fay of Sydney, Mont., and Angela Gagliardi of Herman; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters.

Fay, who died Monday, March 2, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Raymond Eichler and the Rev. James Campbell, both of Faith United Presbyterian Church, officiating.
