Paddle With the Pros kayak events planned
SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University, The North Country Brewing Company and Wind and Water Boat Works will host two kayaking events on Feb. 24.
Paddle with the Pros will include professional paddling instruction at SRU's Abersold Student Recreation Center.
Confluence Watersports, a company based in Easley, S.C., will bring new kayak models and prototypes for participants to try out in the pool.
Professional paddlers including Bryan Krik and Luke Hopkins will also offer a skills exhibition and provide personal instruction to attendees.
A preview of the new paddling movie "Wet House" by Ammen Jordan will also be shown at the North Country Brewing Company on South Main Street.
Events are free to ARC members and $5 for the public. The event is geared toward experienced paddlers.
