BRIDGE BASICS
Bridge is a trick-taking game in which opponents compete in pairs. The game includes dealing, bidding, play and scoring.
The score is affected by the number of tricks bid and the number of tricks taken during play. The highest score is achieved when the number of tricks won is equal or close to the number bid.
There are two types of bridge, duplicate bridge and party or rubber bridge. In party bridge, scores are compared to others playing at the same table. In duplicate bridge, scores are compared among a larger group.
