Jacqueline "Jackie" Lee Durnell, 54, of 144 Moraine Drive, Portersville, Muddy Creek Township, died at 11:24 p.m. Sunday at her home after an extended illness.

Born Aug. 3, 1954, in Grove City, she was the daughter of the late Ruth Ann Garner.

She worked at Slippery Rock University in the custodial department. She also worked for Valley Community Services in the West Sunbury House and in the Kaiser House in East Butler.

She was a Protestant.

She married Lawrence Paul Durnell on July 17, 2005, and he survives.

She also is survived by a daughter, Shelby Renzi of Somerset; a son, Ryan Durnell of Grove City; a stepdaughter, Amy Durnell of Boyers; a stepson, Lawrence Durnell Jr. of Emlenton; a number of aunts, uncles and cousins; and a number of grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

<B>DURNELL</B> — Friends of Jacqueline "Jackie" Lee Durnell, who died Sunday, March 22, 2009, will be received from 1 p.m. until the service at 4 p.m. Thursday at <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. Pastor Michael Bruno of the Abba Christian Center, Slippery Rock, will officiate.
