CHERRY TWP — Moniteau High School will be the host of the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association junior high/middle school band festival Friday.

Students from 28 schools will perform in concert at 7 p.m. Friday in the auditorium, 1810 West Sunbury Road.

Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for students and senior citizens.

BUTLER TWP — Adrug awareness program for teens and their parents will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at The Haven, 1139 N. Main St. Ext.Speakers will include Detective Pat Cannon of the county's Drug Task Force and Ann Loper, an intervention specialist with the Butler Regional Recovery Program.Admission is free. SARVER — The Alzheimer's Association and Outlook Pointe at Sarver will present a four-part series beginning Tuesday for family members of those suffering from Alzheimer's disease.The series will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays at Outlook Pointe, 120 Elliott Road. Topics will include a medical overview, communication, legal issues and end-stage issues.On-site care for Alzheimer's sufferers can be arranged during the sessions. CRANBERRY TWP — A program on researching English ancestors will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2771 Rochester Road.Participants will learn about resources available for English and Welsh research from 1830 to the present. Linda Johnson, a native of London and a Family History Center consultant, will be the speaker.For information, call 724-772-1912.

HARMONY — The Harmony-Zelienople Community Band will present its eighth annual spring concert, under the direction of Sue Van Arsdale, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Seneca Valley Intermediate Auditorium. Admission is free and donations will be accepted.

GFWC Grove City Woman's Club will hold its annual Luncheon/Style Show at 12:30 p.m. April 8 at the Legacy Banquet Center.The lunch menu will be cream of vegetable soup, steak salad with fries, garlic bread sticks and layered strawberry shortcake for $16.
