The Mineharts in 1956

Fred and Lorraine Minehart of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage Friday with a family dinner.

The former Lorraine "Tootie" Massart married Minehart on June 9, 1956, at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

They have two sons, Jeff Minehart and David Minehart, both of Butler.

They also have five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.

Minehart is retired from the maintenance department of Butler School District. He is a veteran of the Army.Mrs. Minehart worked at The Sugar Bowl until it closed.The couple belongs to St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
