The Smiths in 1956

Carl and Edith Smith of Saxonburg celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a family dinner at the Field House restaurant.

The former Edith Thrower married Smith July 7, 1956, at Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church.

They have three children, Steve Smith of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, and Carla Wagner and Paul Smith, both of Saxonburg.

They also have six grandchildren.

Smith is a retired truck driver and retired owner of Carl R. Smith Trucking.

Mrs. Smith is also retired. She worked as an office manager for Carl R. Smith Trucking.
