Excellent points. How does GE and Exxon get away with not paying any taxes to the US? The burden of taxes falls upon those making less than $100,000. There should be no ceiling for Social Security taxes. Even Bill Gates thinks the estate tax should be reinstated. Only the top 1% of estates would even pay that, but the Republicans have been very successful in making those not affected feel violated. There is a documentary on Netflix - instant stream - by Jamie Johnston, heir to Johnson & Johnson, called "The One Percent". It is very thought provoking in dealing with this issue. The disparity between rich and poor has never been greater in this country - ever. We are in an age similar to France in the late 18th century. I guess we should just "Let them eat cake".
