FRANKLIN TWP — A reunion will be held Aug. 19 at Lambert's Picnic Shelter, 386 Fanker Road, for students who attended the American, Greenwood, Old Furnace and Soap Run one-room schools.

Dinner will begin at 1 p.m. Participants should take a covered dish to share.

RIMERSBURG — The Rimersburg Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Cookie Daze Festival Aug. 11 through 13.The event will begin with a cookie baking contest at 10 a.m. Aug. 11. The contest is open to all.The event will also feature craft and food vendors.A Miss Cookie contest will be held, with the title of Miss Cookie awarded at 3 p.m. Friday. Aparade will follow at 6:30 p.m. and fireworks will start at 10 p.m.A5K race will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday and a car cruise and bike rally will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday.

CABOT — The outreach coordinator for the Alzheimer's Association will host a discussion at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Lund Care Center at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Marwood Road.Leigh Dillaman will discuss stress felt by caregivers of Alzheimer's patients.

The following family reunions have been planned:• The 47th annual Roudebush reunion will be held Saturday at the Karns City Municipal Building.Lunch will begin at 1 p.m. Participants should take musical instruments.• The Peter Oesterling family will meet for a reunion at 2 p.m. Aug. 12 at the home of Gary and Nancy Neyman, 184 Valley View Drive, Summit Township.Participants should take a dish to share, table service and a lawn chair. For information, call 724-285-8162.• The Hartle family will host its 66th reunion Aug. 12 in the Pine Shelter at Alameda Park.Dinner will begin at 2:30 p.m. Participants should take an auction item and a filled picnic basket.Coffee and drinks will be provided.• The Karenbauer family reunion will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. Aug. 13 at the Kriley Pavilion, Kriley Grove Lane, Herman.Participants should take a tureen, beverages and sporting equipment.Hot dogs, buns, condiments and table service will be provided.• The 95th annual Barger reunion will be held at 3 p.m. Aug. 12 at the Pine Township Building, 545 Barkeyville Road, Grove City.Descendents of Christopher Stoffel Barger and Hannah Eleanor Miller Barger are invited.The tureen dinner will begin at 5 p.m. A white elephant auction will follow.Participants should take a covered dish and memorabilia to share.Notices, in writing, of festivals, fundraising events, newly elected officers and other news from clubs and nonprofit groups should be sent to the Focus department one week in advance of the event.
