Steelers get another trial delay
PITTSBURGH — A county judge has again delayed a trial so the Pittsburgh Steelers and the taxpayer-funded city-county Sports & Exhibition Authority can continue trying to settle litigation over which entity must pay most of the estimated $30 million cost to add 3,000 seats to Heinz Field.
Monday’s trial has been pushed to May 19.
The sides are split on whether the team’s lease defines the seats as an authority-funded “capital improvement” or a team-funded “modification.”
