Grocery chain Meijer plans to close on the property for its planned location at Jackson Pointe Commerce Park off Route 19 in Jackson Township this Thursday, Aug. 20, according to township manager Chris Rearick.

“We expect they will move forward with township permits under their approved land development shortly thereafter,” Rearick said of the transaction.

The store marks the second location Meijer is working to open in the county. It is also in the process of opening a Cranberry Township location.

The company may also be considering a third location closer to the center of the county, according to Mark Gordon with the Butler County Planning Commission.
