SonRise Community Church in Buffalo Township will have an International Overdose Awareness Day memorial event Aug. 31.

The church invites the community to gather in remembrance, support and hope to honor the lives of those lost to drug overdose. All are welcome to attend.

People who have lost a loved one and would like to include them in the memorial display can send their photo, name, date of loss and a few sentences about who they were to info@alexandraslightofhope.org by Aug. 29.

The event takes place from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at the church, 130 Lucas Lane in Buffalo Township.
