Rodgers' walk-off homer lifts CT

Cotton spins no-hitter for Saxonburg

Austin Rodgers hit a walk-off, two-run home run to lift Center Township to a 6-5 victory over Karns City in Butler County Area Baseball League action Tuesday evening.

Simon Brown, who had singled with two outs, scored ahead of Rodgers, whose home run came off of Gary Amsler.

Shane McIntire struck out 10 and walked none in a complete-game win.

Todd Verner added two base hits for Center Township (5-8).

Saxonburg 13, East Butler 0 — Lance Cotton tossed a five-inning no-hitter in the victory.

Cotton fanned nine and walked just two.

Gavin Phillips belted a two-run home run in the fourth inning. Dathan Gillis had two base hits, scored one run and drove in another.

Cranberry Township 7, West Sunbury 3 — Matt Stanick had two doubles and three RBI in Cranberry Township’s win.

Trevor Botta had four strikeouts and allowed just two earned runs on five hits in a complete game for Cranberry (9-4).
