Rodney Lang
Rodney “Hoss” Lang, 71, of Butler, passed away peacefully Sunday, Aug. 16, 2026, at his home with his wife by his side.
Born April 13, 1955, in Butler, he was the son of Dean W. Lang and Glenda Christie Lang.
He worked as a machinist for Oberg Manufacturing for 30 years. He enjoyed going to auctions, hunting, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Bonita Lang, whom he married Sept. 27, 2023; his children, Sarah (Sean) Smith, of Cabot, Russell (Kelly) Lang, of Butler, Jonathan Lang, Daniel (Christina) Lang, of Rome, Ohio, and Tony (Mylinth) Smith, of Lake Dallas, Texas; brothers, Doug (Lisa) Lang, of Florida, and AJ (Hope) Lang, of Florida; grandchildren, Tyler Smith, Hunter Smith, and Katrina, Glenn Lang, Seth, Olivia and Rosalie Smith; and a collection of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Gary Lang, Larry Lang and Jeff Lang.
