Guilty verdict in cyclist case

PITTSBURGH — A Western Pennsylvania jury has found a man guilty of all charges in the throat slashing of a Pittsburgh bicyclist.

The jury delivered the verdict Wednesday afternoon against 23-year-old Anthony Scholl of West Mifflin. He was convicted of attempted homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangering.

Nearly two months after the slashing, Scholl told authorities he became enraged following a dispute with the cyclist and “was hearing loud voices in my head telling me to hurt him.”
