According to you, about 1% of Americans pay 20% of all taxes. Apparently that's not enough for you. To me it seems like somewhat of a bias against successful people. But then I don't have a dislike of successful people, I actually admire their entrepreneurial spirit and work ethic. (We know......everyone wealthy inherited their money).

You are incorrect on Americans wanting the debt ceiling raised. 47% are opposed to raising the debt limit, 19% are in favor of raising the debt limit, and the remainder claimed they didn't know enough about it to comment either way.

The debt ceiling will be raised before August 2nd. Most likely you won't like some of compromises and most likely I won't either, but it will get raised. However, I do recall a US Senator a couple of years back saying something to the effect of: "Raising the debt ceiling shows a lack of leadership".
