Their cradle to grave socialist government sponsored programs, long paid vacations,early retirement, health care, and retirement benefits proved unsustainable as are most "free programs". Capitalism is competitive....some are wildly successful, and some can't compete because of lack of education, substance abuse issues, being unmotivated, and unskilled. The opportunity is there if you have the desire. Punishing those who have the skill and desire by taking more than the 36% they already pay is a huge disincentive to want to put in a 60 hour work week. Those who want more from the successful love playing the game of "victim".....they had no control over any aspect of their lives. Yes, let's help those who are physically or mentally unable to participate in the American Dream, as they deserve to be taken care of by us as a society, but you and I both know many who want to be taken care of because they do not want to better themselves. We all have choices and chances. I gradated with several friends who are today very well off......and boy did they put in long hours for years to be where they are today.(No, Joe, they didn't inherit it).
