When links of life are broken

and loved ones have to part,

It leaves a wound that never heals

A never ending aching heart.

When our family gets together

It is you we do not see, and it fills our hearts with sadness.

Thinking about how it used to be,

We talk about those days and though we smile the same,

It still hurts deep inside us when someone speaks your name.

For all we have is memories, from which we will never part.

God has you in his keeping, and we have you in our hearts.
