Data breach impacts students

ERIE — Students at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine are being urged to monitor their credit after their names and Social Security numbers were inadvertently posted online.

School spokesman Pierre Bellicini says the breach originated from Hubbard-Bert, an Erie business that provides health insurance.

Hubbard-Bert is offering the students one year of credit monitoring.
