CHERRY TWP — Students in the Moniteau School District will present the musical "The Wizard of Oz" at 7:30 p.m. March 24 and at 2 and 7:30 p.m. March 25 in the high school auditorium, 1810 West Sunbury Road

A Lunch With Dorothy event will also be offered at 12:30 p.m. March 25 in the school cafeteria.

Tickets, which range from $5 to $7, may be purchased from any cast member or reserved by calling 724-679-0696 and leaving a message or e-mailing mhsstu@aol.com and giving your name, telephone number, number of tickets needed and performance.

The show will be directed by Gordon Cavalero, who has produced, directed and worked backstage since 1971 at the Butler Musical Theatre Guild. He has worked with Moniteau High School since 1999.

Gordon is also chairman of the Summer Dramatics Project in Butler, is a board member of the Butler Arts Council and teaches a youth workshop at the Butler Little Theatre.

Serving as student directors are Amber Dillaman, John Stoughton and Nichole Jordan. Flowers will be provided by Janice Ice and Deanna Panza, with cookies from Sylvia Bonetti, Jim Bonetti, Cindy Brown and Sue Scialabba.

Lights will be handled by Jenna Thompson, Kyle Thompson, Amber Michael, and Devin Wheeler. Jennifer Kelly will do sound.
