The daughters of Theresa M. Mitchell, of Templeton, Pa., are saddened to announce the passing of their mother on Friday, Aug. 7, 2026, at the age of 67.

Born in Butler on Nov. 17, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Jr. and Edith E. (Kerner) Macefe.

She worked as a nurse’s aide for 15 years in Kittanning. Theresa’s smile and laughter could light up any room. She had such a kind heart and enjoyed her job as a nurse’s aide caring for the elderly.

If you never had the chance to sit down and play some cards with her, eat her amazing fried chicken or her delicious homemade apple pies, you missed out.

We will miss you Mom, love you infinity.

Theresa was the beloved wife of the late Sean Mitchell, until his passing; mother of Sabrina Norton and Jessica Gill; sister of Mary Ann Macefe Scarpitti, and David and John Macefe; and grandmother of Scarlett, Larkin and Lucas Gill.

Along with her parents and husband, Theresa was preceded in death by her brothers, James and Richard Macefe.

MITCHELL — All services for Theresa M. Mitchell, who died Friday, Aug. 7, 2026, will be held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
