Lloyd Dempsey Overly Jr.
Lloyd Dempsey Overly Jr., 59, of Mount Pleasant passed away Sunday at the Harmon House, Mount Pleasant.
Lloyd was born April 17, 1957, in Mount Pleasant, the oldest son of the late Lloyd Dempsey Overly Sr. and Virginia Krepps Overly.
Lloyd was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked at the Limewood Corp. in Boyers, Pa., and also at Mobile Concepts by Scotti, as well as other jobs in the Mount Pleasant area.
Lloyd was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are his daughter, Jessica Overly (Cory Konieczny) of Mount Pleasant; his son, Joshua L. Overly of Eagleville, Pa.; four grandchildren, twins, Caleb and Corey, who were born on Lloyd's birthday, Aydyn and Cassidy; six brothers, Douglas (Sherry) Overly of Boyers, Dennis (Betty) Overly and Rick (Becky) Overly of Butler, Dean (Ronda) Overly of Harrisville, Brian (Valerie) Overly of Slippery Rock, and Shawn (Tanya) Overly of Boyers; three sisters, Deborah (Ron) Campbell of Karns City, Donna (Anderson) Mitchell of Slippery Rock and Marcy (Michael) Thomas of Tacoma Wash.; his former wife and the mother of his children, Sherry McCracken Overly of Mount Pleasant; his companion, Brenda Dunlap, of Mount Pleasant; aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by his son, Jason D. Overly, who died Nov. 20, 2015; and his second wife, Linda Lobov Overly, who died Nov. 29, 2011.
OVERLY — At the request of Lloyd Dempsey Overly Jr., who died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, funeral arrangements will be private.Interment with military rites conducted by American Legion Post 446 will follow at the Fairview Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Township.Arrangements are under the direction of the SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE, 730 W.
