Man charged for Lunchables theft
SLIPPERY ROCK — A suspected shoplifter faces a hearing next month on charges he swiped a late-night snack from a store Sept. 17.
Jabril M. Henley Sr., 25, of New Castle was spotted about 2:25 a.m. in the Sheetz store on Franklin Street taking a box of Lunchables and a bag of sour cream potato chips, Slippery Rock police said.
Police got to the store and saw two security officers chasing the suspect, according to court documents. He was stopped after trying to get into a vehicle parked nearby. Upon being placed in handcuffs, Henley seemed confused by all the fuss, according to police.
“All this over a Lunchable?” he repeatedly asked, documents said.
Police said Henley, who also appeared to be intoxicated, admitted he had been drinking that night.
A full report will appear in the Butler Eagle.
